By now you’ve probably heard about the integration with Afrigator but if you haven’t let me elaborate a little. A couple months back we (Afrigator) setup a relationship with 24.com Blogs in a hope that we could provide you with some valuable tools and stats for your blog.
The 24.com team have been hard at work and finally we’re able to launch this cool new functionality. Basically we’ve opened up the Afrigator platform and now, with the click of a single button, your blog will be registered on Afrigator and you will be ranked within the 24.com network as well as the rest of Africa.
What are the benefits of joining the service?
We’re pleased you asked. By registering for the service you will registered on Afrigator which will allow us to send you new visitors to your blog. This is the first time that bloggers within the 24.com network will be exposed to the world outside of 24.com and we’re hoping that it brings you more readers and spurs further debate on your blog.
Detailed Stats
In addition you will also have access to detailed stats for your blog. This includes how many people visited your site, how many page views you received and this is all broken down by day, week and month (see screenshot below).

Latest Blog Posts
What we’ve also done is create a new Blogs page that allows you to see the latest blog posts from other bloggers who are using the service.

What’s even cooler is that you can view the latest posts by blogs within a particular 24.com network, such as Woman24, so you only see what you’re really interested in.
It’s all about the ranking
The real trump card though is the ability to be ranked amongst your community. By joining you are automatically ranked within the 24.com blogging network and in your sidebar you’ll see a cool new widget that shows your rank within 24.com, South Africa and the rest of Africa.
This means that not only can you see the impact your blog has within your community but you can also see the “bigger” picture on a country and continent level.
At any stage you can visit the Ranking page which will also show you who you are competing with and where you ranking within your community.

Personal profile page
As a registered user you also get access to a personal profile page. This page displays your blog description, ranking and all your latest blog posts – have a look at Alistair’s profile page as an example.

The beauty of this is that this is your personal space where you can promote your blog to the rest of the world. Copy the link of your profile page and paste it in your email or send it on to family and friends and let them know you’re an uber blogger with your own space!
If I join do I need to join at Afrigator as well?
Well the answer is simply no :)
If you join via 24.com then you’re automatically a member of Afrigator and you can use the service either via 24.com or via Afrigator. The choice is yours.
I’m already a member of Afrigator, do I need to join again?
Again, the answer is no. Anyone who has joined Afrigator prior to this is already registered on the 24.com integration. You should already see a widget in your sidebar showing your ranking and if you click that you’ll get your detailed stats.
We are extremely excited at the launch of this new feature and we’re very keen to know what you guys think. If you have any questions or need any help please let us know!
